Half-baked version with poor versions of songs, a few bugs and no extra content.

User Rating: 7 | Guitar Hero Encore: Rocks the 80s PS2
I give this a 7 because it still have some play-value. But this is, by far, the worst of the 3 GH titles. First, there's no extra content...which means that not only do you get only 30 songs for $50+ but there's no discovery of new songs / artists. Second, I had forgotten how truly miserable the hair-metal of the 80's was. I hated Twisted Sister, Quiet Riot and Accept when I was a teen-ager and had been in ignorant bliss for the last 25 years...now they return to haunt me again. Third....not sure if this is universal but I have a lot of songs with drags in them...where the screen gets choppy for a few seconds. The good is that playing songs by bands like Iron Maiden, The Police and The Scorpions was as much fun as I hoped it would be. Also, the difficulty is less punishing than on GH2, which I found very challenging (but I'm old...so who knows?). A 7.
