GH 80s is great, but there is just not enough content to make it amazing.
THE BAD:
Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80s is bassicly an expansion to the games, with an 80s all around theme. However, with less content. If you are a fan of Eddie Know, Clive Winston, Lars Umlat, Xaiver Stone, or Casey Lynch, sorry, they are not in the game. Why Harmonix, why? Anyway, also, if you love Izzy Sparks top hat, don't expect to see it. No outfits.... not even any bonus videos! Just guitars, finishes, and the Grim Ripper to buy. Not much. And, add to that that you won't even know half of the songs in the game. Plus, why won;y you tell us why I Want Candy is not in the game anymore, RedOctane? And, by the way, NO BONUS SONGS. And only 30 CAREER SONGS.
THE GOOD:
However, the core experience, is unchanged. The gameplay is still amazing, and completely original. Plus, you will know some tunes. Who does not love Twisted Sister? Who loves Asia? Plus, trust me. A lot more. And, after you learn about them, you love them! Not to mention that Practice mode and Multiplayer has yet to leave. Not yet. And, trust me, you will need practice mode for the Because It's Midnite solo, as Well as Electric Eye. Thoose solos are just INSANE. Anyway, multiplayer is also a lot of fun. I love to do a few songs when my friend has his controller. Plus, I love to Face-Off against a lonely Dualshock controller. Just plain fun. Not to mention I am just a huge fan of the series. IN THE END:
GH 80s rocks. But, it could use a little more design effort, not just 30 songs with no bonuses. More content. Still, it should keep you til GH III releases. It will.
