Though Guitar Hero Encore: Rock the 80s has a mere 30 songs, the game is still worth playing.

This game is almost exactly what its title says: an Encore, therefore there was bound to be only a few songs in the game compared to the others. Following the guitar hero II formula this game is still very fun and very addicting, but the lack of content really hurts this game in the end. There are less characters, no bonus songs, only 30 tracks, less guitars, less venues and even less of a challenge. The game is definitely easier than the other guitar heroes to date. There is still a multiplayer mode which is almost just as fun as before but the bass lines seem a little more dull in general. Despite all of this the game is still very fun, and certainly worth picking up if you have the extra cash. There are some really good tracks in the game, others that are simply fun to play, but the game is still not without its fair share of boring songs. Overall this game is easier and has less content than the others, but if you enjoyed either of the previous two games in the series you will most certainly enjoy this as well.
