Good 80's Time!

I know that there are some issues with this game, but what do you expect? It is Guitar Hero were talking about here! They haven't really blown me away since the first one came out with probably their best song lists. Guitar Hero 2 was just the same thing with different songs and a few new bits thrown in. I wasn't really expecting 80's to blow me away with the songs we have all been waiting for, but haven't received. When I think 80's rock I think of Guns n Roses (Appetite for Destruction), which is a major part of Rock N Roll. Also, Bon Jovi (Slippery when wet) was a constant in the rock seen! You could go on and on about the bands that should have at least one of their hits in this game, but you probably won't see them. If I am buying this game for $50 I should be getting my money's worth. But what did we get? 1. You will receive some decent tunes from the 80's of course. They may not be the GNR's and the Bon Jovi hits we all know and want, but there is fun to be had. "Nothing but a good time", "Seventeen", "18 and life", "The Warrior", "We Got the beat", "Play with me", "What I like about you", "Ballroom Blitz" are some of the better songs to play. There are others you might have heard of but are kind of scratching your heads wondering why they are present in Guitar Hero. 2. As for unlock-ables, there isn't much at all. If you like the Grim Reaper then you are in luck. As for anyone else you prefer, don't get your hopes up. The guitars and skins are pretty much the same. The biggest kick to the balls here is the fact that there isn't any unlock-able songs, which means you don't get any extra songs. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!! 3. The fun meter is around 8-9 if you really dig the 80's tunes, and if not your probably looking at 6-8. Some songs are insane if you bump the difficulty to Expert, but that is half the fun right! All in all, if you are looking for a great game then your not going to find it here! If your into just having a good time with some new songs from back in the day then here you go! I would recommend waiting till the price drops or just getting a used one from the game store, because you know somebody isn't going to be satisfied with their purchase and traded it in pretty quickly! But like the song says, "Don't need nothing, but a good time. How Can I Resist!!!!"
