Entertaining and involving but easily forgotten.
The general make up of the game is Guitar Hero 2 with just some colours made more fluorescent due to it being the 80's and all those crazy loud colours that they had back then. So nothing has really changed there, same title screen and load screens just mixed up the colours a bit which I thought was a bit shabby...If you're expected to pay pretty much full price for this game then you could put more effort in.
Moving on to the song list which has around 60% of songs I've never heard of and pretty much all of them being covers and not master tracks. This is where you begin to think: "Oh no this is gonna suck because covers on Guitar hero (Beast and the Harlot, Laid to rest to name a few) usually suck the big one" but to my pleasant suprise I find that they are actually quite solid covers! They are coherent and well sung and catchy, I find myself singing songs like: "Only a lad" to myself when I'm away from my ps2 and others and a lot of the riffs are catchy and sharp and well produced. So in terms of actual sound this game is quite good!
Then there was no bonus content such as unlock songs and the costumes were pretty dire. So again in terms of additional content we aren't given any and graphics are just recycled and tweaked. Generally pretty lame from this side of things.
So all in all definitely not worth the amount it retailed at but a surprisingly well constructed and executed setlist comprised mainly of covers which usually in Guitar Hero history spells suckage. So 6/10 from me.
