A Great Rythm Game for Everybody

User Rating: 10 | Guitar Hero II PS2
Guitar Hero II is by far one of the best games ever on the PlayStation 2. There is a difficulty for everybody: Easy, Medium, Hard, or Expert are all included in the game. You can play through all of the songs in Medium, Hard, and Expert. In Easy mode you are not allowed to play any of the encore songs, and the final tier is locked. Easy only has 28 songs, while the other difficulties all have 40 songs at your arsenal. In the Career mode of the game, you choose your guitar hero, your guitar, and then you are ready to shred. You start out playing at Nilbog High School, and you work your way up to bigger venues, like Stonehenge. Characters include rockers like Clive Winston, Johnny Napalm, and Pandora. There are some wilder ones, like the Grim Ripper (Grim Reaper). Once you choose your song and difficulty, you hold down the colored fret button and strum using the strum bar in accordance with the notes tumbling down the screen. If you pass the song, you receive a rating of 3 Stars (bad), 4 Stars (good), or 5 Stars (amazing). If you do not pass the song, your Rock Meter will drop to the red zone and start flashing, telling you that if don’t pick it up, you will get booed off the stage. In all, Guitar Hero II is a great game that I highly recommend to any PS2 owner.
