This game is perfect. Best soundtrack ever,excellent gameplay and good multi-player makes this game the game of the year

Guitar Hero II, from Harmonix and Red Octane, is a rhythm / music game that emulates an electric guitar player. Sequel to the worldwide revelation game of the year, Guitar Hero. Both game for the PS2. Comparing this game with Guitar Hero 1, I can say there is a better gameplay, and soundtrack. As GH bring us classical rock music from all times, GHII have this type of music, plus more alternative rock, metal, as some Hardcore and Speed Metal songs. In GH1, the Hammer-on and Pull-offs, were so hard, a lot of people did not even try to do them the right way. Now in GHII those HO's and PO's had been improved, you just need to strum the first fret button and the keep tapping the fret buttons without using the strum bar. GHII have over 4 difficulties. Easy, only using the first 3 fret buttons, green to yellow. Normal, using 4 fret buttons, green to blue. Hard, using all 5 fret buttons. Expert, using all 5 fret buttons, and playing each note of the original song. The venues are awesome, starting from a little concert on a school, to a massive venue were thousands of people are cheering you. There's a good selection of electric guitars, all from Gibson, and some secret ones that are also great. The new multiplayer mode is just so fun. There's a coop mode were someone plays the first guitar and other plays the bass, or rhythm guitar. Face Off mode, is a great mode for those who already know how to play and for the newbies. Pro-Face Off mode is awesome. You play with another person, same song, same difficulty, that way to prove who is the best. In Practice mode you can jam on that impossible solos of some songs, until you can play them. The graphics are not all that great, but, the game is not about graphs, is about the awesome gameplay and soundtrack. You can play Curt Cobain's guitar, with Nirvana. Slash Rose's songs, from Guns n' Roses. Tom Morello's guitar, from Rage Against the Machine. Some other interesting bands are: Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, Lynard Skynard, the Beast and the Harlot, Black Sabbath, Police, and more. There is "Jordan", a song so hard in expert difficulty, from the "tapping master" Buckethead. "Six" is an Speed - Hardcore Metal song that is going to make you play for hours! This game is a must have, must buy, it MUST be on your collection.
