Guitar Hero 2 adds a lot of great stuff to an already amazing game.
Nice list of soundtracks; Better multiplayer than the last installment; Easy to learn, hard to master; Practice mode; Freebird!!
The Bad:
While the list of songs is good, there is also a lot of realy nasty ones too
Guitar Hero is back, and is better, and more shiny than ever!
Basicly, its Guitar Hero with a lot of new songs (64 to be exact) and much better multiplayer possibilities.
The gameplay is at its best. The guitar controller realy does a diffrence, rather than sitting with a joystick. Also the activation of starpower (tilting the guitar to a vertical position) is also a very nice touch.
Graphics are actualy very good, (bearing in mind, that it's a playstation 2 game) unfortunately, you won't be looking much on everything else than the fretboard, sending you tons of notes. There is a wide collection of character models, and they all have a unik look. Theres the 80's rock girl, the big, bulky metal-head and even the grim ripper.
It all boils down to this. Does guitar hero 2 deliver in terms of sound? The answer is yes. There is tons of great songs, such as "Killing in the Name of" - "Beast and the Harlot" - "Sweet Child o' Mine" and many more. While saying theres many good songs, there is also some... not-so-good songs. Yes, people, some of the songs are just flat out horrible. But don't let that stop you from enjoying this great game.
This game can last for many days, weeks, or even months to come (especially if you have any friends). After you complete the main songs, there are 14 more bonus songs to beat, and after that, you might want to raise the difficulty a bit. After completing all the songs, you will surely have your own personal favorites, that you will play again and again a long time to come.
Overall, this is a must buy for everyone who played the first Guitar Hero, every fan of rythm-games and possibly every guy (or girl) out there with a ps2, waiting for something new and refreshing.
