In all my years of gaming, I have never seen such a game that could bring out the music.
(? out of 5)Story: Guitar Hero 2 doesn't have much of a story. Sure there is a Career mode but I believe it could have been done better. So if you are looking for a game with an in depth story you are looking in the wrong place buddy.
(4.5 out of 5) Gameplay: If you don't have a wireless guitar to go with your Guitar Hero 2 game then you should slap yourself silly right now. Shame on you! Anyway Guitar Hero 2 is more fun then a barrel of monkey poo. Nailing notes, strumming, using the whammy bar, everything about the game is fun. You really do feel like a rock star. Especially when you engage Star Power, a mode where your note scores double, all of your chaotic fans go CRAZY, and you do some type of super move with your guitar. Ah man I love it. The music and note timing is excellent, I don't think it could have been done any better honestly. You can also unlock things such as characters, songs, and outfits with the money you get from your Career, sweet. The only complaint I really had was that there were no other game modes, or anything else to do in the game. After you beat Career mode then what? I guess you just go back to rocking it out loud. Now I don't have a complaint with that, but the neighbors might, hahaha yeah.
(4 out of 5) Graphics: Character design, guitar design, and uh background design was amazing. I have to give props to whoever did all the artwork in the game. Its spectacular in a cool disturbing, I wanna kill my cat kind of way. The crowd, the crowd was…uh…something. Let's just say one for all and all for one, literally. You wouldn't understand, it's a Guitar Hero thing. Anyway……
(5 out of 5) Sound: The song selection is amazing. The game features songs like Strutter, The Beast and the Harlot, and Free Bird. The sounds the guitars make sound life like, and incredible. Maybe it was because the people who made Guitar Hero 2 actually played the music, who knows.
Overall: Guitar Hero 2 is a remarkable game. If someone offers you the game do yourself a favor and accept it for crying out loud. While your accepting it also ask for a wireless guitar, if they say no then run at them push them out of a window and…… never mind. Bottom line, Guitar Hero 2 is a must have.
