*****HOOPSTAR789's REVIEW ON GUITAR HERO 3

User Rating: 8 | Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock X360
OK, so the game is Guitar Hero 3, you take the role of many guitarist that starts out small time garage concert to Playing for Satan in Hell, before I begin my review, a new category had to be submitted just for this game.|
1. GRAPHICS- When I first picked up this game, I wasn't expecting it to look good just cause it was a music game, boy was i wrong. First the Character models and environment of the stage looks fantastic, the animations that the characters pull off is quite unique to. But the game does suffer from some low budget fire, audience that attends the concerts (2-D figures), and the lip sync defenitaly needs some work done to it. Other than that this game looks great for a music game, and like I said, don't be expecting some high power Call Of Duty Engine or Metal Gear Solid graphics, It is a music game, not an Action.
2. GAMEPLAY- Back in the 90's Papa Rapa was the first music game that made you hit the buttons that match the screen, well Guitar hero just made it funner, The controls for this game is just how you make them, you can hate them or you can love them, I found it Easier to just use the Guitar then use the control. A big problem that all the Guitar Heroes are having nowadays is the "NOTE LAG" that HD TV suffer from. I had to fix my notes a few time due to the fact I was playing on a HD TV. This is a major problem and I found myself hitting the notes correctly and somehow I missed the note, If you have the time to fix the lag in the options menu then this may not be a big problem, Other than that the controls are johnny on the spot for the guitar at least and this game shouldn't be any problem playing, unless you are on Expert.
3. STORY- Though the game's story is really weak and features no voice over at all, it is quite interesting to see what Record Deals you and your band get and where you go to play your next concert. Other than that, that is pretty much the story, going place to place playing songs.
4. MULTIPLAYER- The multiplayer in this game well have you on for a while, Every multiplayer mode is only limited to 2 players. They have CO-OP Career where one player is Main Guitar and the other is Bass, and there is also a Versus mode where 2 Players battle with Rock. Though there is only 2 multiplayer modes, the multiplayer alone can be enjoyed for a few hours.
5. SOUNDTRACK- Ah, the new Category, I have been waiting to put this in but didn't know what game to put it in, anyway, The soundtrack in this game is amazing, it really does have some Legends of Rock in this game. From Kiss to Metalica, To Black Sabbath to Slipknot, This game has stuff from the late 60's all the way to know. Though most of the songs are good, there is some songs that aren't in the original artist form, for example, Barracuda from Heart is a DO OVER from another band and doesn't sound like the Rock On 70's version that we know. There are a few other songs that aren't the original Voices but I guess they Couldn't get the rights to the original. Other than that, the soundtrack is what really brings this game to life. Good job Neversoft.
6. OVERALL- Overall Guitar Hero is a game that must be picked up by the Music Community of gamers, and at least a rent for the other gamers. Guitar Hero 3 is a game that can be enjoyed for hours and even after you have completed the game the multiplayer is still a blast to play. Though the game might not be so fun at first for the HD TV Players and some of the songs might not be the original, Guitar Hero 3 is a game that anybody can play. Thats my Review on Guitar Hero 3.
