A 3 - fret Guitar Hero game for the mobile phone. More for fans who are usually on the go.
Cons-
There are only two different modes of play, Career Mode and Quick Play mode. Unfortunately, there is no downloadable content and multiplayer mode.
There are also three different difficulties to choose from, Easy, Medium, Expert. All difficulties use three keys. Only the speed and the number of notes varies, so it is not very challenging.
The game lags from time to time, especially on songs like Cherub Rock where you have to hit the same chords repeatedly for five or six times.
There are only 15 songs and most of them are also available on the other versions.
The Quick Play mode does NOT allow you to save your high scores, so that's pretty suckish for those braggarts.
There are only two characters to choose from - Judy Nails and Axel Steel.
There are only four unlockable guitars.
The biggest letdown is that they just let you play about half the song in a crappy MIDI version. So yeah, no VOCALS. So it gets pretty boring if you keep failing the song.
Pros-
There aren't many pros but I'm going to write them out anyway.
One of them is that the game is pretty detailed, considering that it is a 3 - D game on a mobile phone. You can pretty much see Judy Nails and Axel Steel rocking out in mid air and behind them is the 3 - D arena, also quite detailed, that you can see in the console versions.
This is my favorite part of the game. Achievements.
Yes, Achievements, surprising huh?
There are 15 achievements in the game. Not totally new achievements, but the ones found on the Xbox 360 version. It definitely makes the game more challenging.
Verdict-
So in the end, the game still doesn't get a very high score but it is still good in my book. This game is more for fans of Guitar Hero, who are usually on the go and have little time to enjoy the game on the console, so if you are not one, I suggest you do not buy it because you will probably be disappointed and start cussing because you just wasted $5.
