Even if your not typically into rhythm games, Guitar Hero prooves itself to be decent enough to try regardless.
But after reading the song list from Guitar Hero and somewhat interested in the Guitar controller, I (after many months of waiting and searching) finally bought it.
And I don't regret it.
You'll barely have time to notice it, but the graphics in the game are decent enough and the menus simple to navigate.
Of course the highlight of this game would be the music, which is just excellent. If it weren't for the vocals, you'd be convinced you were listening to the original songs. But the vocals are typically decent aswell.
It's simple enough to pick up and play - starting from the tutorial and moving onto easy, but even the move to medium is quite difficult, atleast for me.
On easy you only use 3 buttons, really.
Medium you move onto 4. And long story short, my pinky-fingers reaction time and flexibility leaves a lot to be desired and is often cursed at when I screw up.
But this won't be factored in on the overall score, this is a personal gripe and though I've heard the games pretty damn hard anyway, I'm sure most people don't have the pinky-problem.
I haven't had the chance to play multiplayer with someone who has a Guitar Controller aswell, but it can be played via regular controller and the multiplayer is fairly decent. Only seems to be one play mode though, I don't know what could be added or done with it, but heres hoping some more is tacked on to what is already a fairly decent multiplayer.
To sum up, Guitar Hero is the bomb.
I think most of us have that dream of being a rockstar, and though the vast majority of us won't achieve this dream, we can have some small part of it in Guitar Hero.
Now onto eagerly awaiting the sequel.
