More fun than a barrel full of swimsuit models!

Guitar Hero is a great game that excels in translating guitars onto game consoles surprisingly well. It may be hard for someone to pick it up and play immediately, but it's level of difficulty gives it outstanding replay value. It has a great variety of songs, however, if your not a fan of rock it'd be best to avoid this game. The songs include hits like Texas Flood, I Love Rock n' Roll, Iron Man, Godzilla, Fire It Up, and of course, Bark At the Moon. If you try and play it on Easy you will find that there is not enough notes on-screen to correspond with the music. This makes it easier, but on some songs it will throw you off, especially if you are familiar with it. This problem is also present on Medium, however it is nowhere near as prevalent. One thing the Gamespot review doesn't tell you is that the controller tends to make a little bit of noise while you are playing, and you will really notice it if you have the sound turned down. If you are in love with bands like White Zombie, Black Sabbath, The Black Label Society, or even Stevie Ray Vaughn, this game is for you.
