Very addictive until you beat the game. If you already play guitar you will pick this up with ease and find it no harder than playing "Smoke on the Water" with your regular guitar. However it's not all about making the game difficult, it's about making the game fun, which it is. I believe I've burned up a solid 30 hours of my life playing this game and plugging away at my guitar. Take it for what it's worth, a fun and addictive game that's great for bringing out at a party to see what everyone can do. Not as fun to play by yourself, I mean come on, Guitar Heroes don't play alone in the bedroom.
