A solid action\adventure game that has a good story line with interesting characters and plenty of things to shoot.

Seeing the price go down, I decided to get this decently reviewed game. I was more that happy when I slipped the small Gamecube disk into place and hit the power button. From the opening, the story takes off into a movie decent script, involving plenty of characters. It has you shooting indians, thieves, horses, barrels, with a good variety of weapons.

Beating the game takes some time, and about five to seven hours not going on any side missions. Doing the extra missions gives you money so you can then purchase upgrades, weapons, and numberous other things. Think of this game as a brief, wild west GTA. Sounds pretty fun, doesn't it?

I was very happy what my little cube was able to perform of screen. Dozens of horses, each with a rider, and explosions going up everywhere, yet no noticable framerate loss. Decent to great graphice provide for nicly done animations on guns, horses, ect.

The bosses can somtimes be tough and frustrating, but I managed to get past them, and it's always rewarding once you do.

Later in the game...( Don't read this if you don't want any weapon spoilers!)
There are fields of grazing oxen, horses, and other farm animals out in the wild. Next to the grassy fields is a small shack containing explosive arrow ammo. You know where I'm headed with this. Shooting two explosive arrows at a horses chest will send it's head and limbs flying. It may be cruel, but it's only artificial animal cruelty.

I did that for hours. Course that's just because I'm sick and demented.

So if you enjoy long rides of a horse in a game while eventually shooting some people and listening to a storyline here and there then buy this. Don't rent it. Renting it would just be about the same amount of money. Just buy it, it's not very expensive anymore.
