A psp game actually worth playing.

User Rating: 7.6 | Gun Showdown PSP
Gun Showdown takes place in the west. You play as Colton, a young cowboy. The games story line is pretty solid but isnt great. The graphics are very good for the psp but the gameplay is pretty bad. It takes awhile to get adjusted, but theres just not enough buttons to use making it alot more difficult to execute small commands (to reload you have to hold down on d-pad then triangle.) The sound is ok, the sound effects arent the best but it makes it up with great music. The graphics are pretty good, but the terrain is a little choppy. Compared to the other games this definately overpowers. There are some graphical gltiches during cutscenes but otherwise its good.

The sound isnt the best. The voices outside of a cut scene when your walking around are muffled and the general sound effects are not so good. The soundtrack is the one of the best I have heard for a psp game. Gameplay is pretty bad when you start. You use the analog to move and face buttons to aim. Since there is a lack of buttons, some simple comands are pretty akward to execute. There is a slight auto aim that really helps and youll find that youll be using the slo motion feature most of the time.

Overall this game is a noteable title for the psp. I recommend that you rent this game. I wouldnt buy because youll be done with it in around 5 days. The story like the console version is pretty short and side missions are sometimes blan and repetetive. Multiplayer is nothing but ad-hoc and with bots, and i found it pretty lame because its really flaky. There is just a big map and everyone runs around shooting wild. The map design is pretty bad and there isnt really any strategic positions.
