Stupid Fun!

Around Thanksgiving I sold my PS2 and joined the XBOX army. I know, I was about 4 years late to the party, especially since the XBOX 360 had already hit store shelves, but I am definitely glad I switched sides and got on board with Microsoft, because I love that little green and black box.

Anyways, Gun, was my second game I played on XBOX, behind Halo ( And now I see what all the fuss was about with Halo, love it ) and my only real gripe with Gun is the price tag. It was way too short and fairly easy for a $49.99 price tag, but hey, business is business and Activision is no exception.

Graphics were ok, but nothing to go around shouting about. Gameplay was a little rough around the edges, but nothing is perfect for a game with it's first installment. The sound and acting was a bit of a letdown, but I dug Chris Kristofferson having a small role. He is pretty awesome in the Blade movies. Playing the game in general was just plain ol' fun. Not sure if there will be another one, but if there is, then I'm looking forward to it. If there is, I'm sure it'll be a 360 only game, but by then, I'm sure I'll be a proud owner of a 360.

All-in-all, Gun is a bloody good time, just not in the sense of strategy and length of playing time ( although the side missions will keep you busy a bit). By now I'm sure the game has come down somewhat in price, so I would recommend picking it up -- If it hasn't, then rent it or wait for it to hit the $19.99 mark. In the end, I want to pledge my newfound loyalty to Microsoft and thank Sony for angering me enough to denounce it's console and switching sides. Hail to the XBOX!
