This game had the makings to be great. It had an immersive story, interesting characters, and cool side missions. Unfortunately the game itself isn't very long and the side-missions aren't carried out well enough to keep you interested like other free-roam games such as the Grand Theft Auto series. This game does demonstrate good graphics and sound and the weapons and characters sound pretty good. My only real problem with this game is the lack of stuff out in the rest of the world outside Dodge and Empire. As soon as you leave the city limits there is nothing else out there except for the occational bandit attack which are pretty short lived. I'd also like to see hunting and fishing for food instead of having to find whiskey bottles. Some Indians in the free-roam outside the missions would make this game a must buy and a truly great Western-experience. This is probably the best Western-style shooter out there even though Red Dead Revolver is basically the only other one. This genra should generate a lot more games because it is an interesting and pretty cool time period.
