It's been done before, and it's been done since. And yet I still can't get enough of these arcade shooters. they're just intensely fun. Gunbird 2 is a treat for the eyes, featuring Metal Slug-esque 2d sprite perfection. but for the hands, its an ache. I seriously would simply LOVE this game except for one major fault: no joystick. that's right, you've got to use the DC's wonky d-pad to avoid the hordes of kamikaze pilots and screen filling lazer balls. I really can't say more than that. A game that I would love if I could use the damn joystick. but since I can't, this game goes by the wayside.
