That's exactly what Gunbound is. It's a game you play when you want to pass the time. It's a game you play when you don't have any good games or proper games that you want to play. It's the game you play for a little light relief.

That's what GB's strength is. This game doesn't make you want to be the best, it doesn't make you want to earn loads and loads of money (although there are MANY players who are exceptions to that). This game doesn't let you take it seriously. You just play it for fun! That's what games are for and GB does a bang-up job in that aspect.

GB is a much simpler version of Worms. You choose a mobile and a few items and then you join a team in the attempt of conquering the opposing team.

There are different game types which keeps the game interesting. You have Solo (where you can only die once), Tag (where you can choose two bots to switch between but only need to be killed once), Jewel (where the team that has the highest score from killing little robots wins) and Score (where each team has a number of shared lives meaning one person can die more than once)

The music in GB is quite definite. You either like it or you don't. I, like many others, have muted the music in the option of playing my own. However, many people seem to like the chirpy and cheery music of GB - in fact, I believe a GB audio cd is soon to be on sale.

GB's a simple game that has very low system requirements. That means that everyone can play it and not have to worry about their system struggling. The only thing you do need though is a fast internet connection else you'll often find the game stopped for periods of time.

The graphics of GB are not spectacular. It's a simple game, afterall. They are quite cartoony but that works with the whole atmosphere of GB - fun and almost fantasy-like.

I don't quite understand what the GB developers are attempting but after a brief period of time where the graphic effects of GB got much better, they seem to have toned them down again. So now the laser beam shot from a hovering machine in the air doesn't look as painful as it really is or the craters appearing in the ground when a shot hits don't seem right.

There are many glitches in GB that need to be worked out especially since they occur quite often. If a player who is lagging the game quits, the last person to shoot often has to leave too.

Lag is a big problem in GB. Quite often, the game lags simply because the GB servers are unable to keep up. That causes lengthy delays in a game that you were only playing in the first place because of lack of time.

I like GB. I keep playing it and although there are too many players on GB that try their hardest to make this game into a serious thing or try and ruin the fun of others (by kicking good players from opposite teams or bad players from their own), this game still manages to remain amusing and continues to hold one's interest even after a few months of playing it.
