complex controls, not for people who buy games based on "grafix". get past the controls and you have a solid plat
gameplay wise this isnt for the casual gamer who likes stuff like fifa or grand turismo or social metaphor that is GTA:vice city.
its tough, really tough at first and if you like gameing with simple ideas forget this one and go pick up a movie tie in platformer.
the story for such an underated game is a surprisingly complex, it takes place right in a setting youd normally find in a "what if?" marvel comic .
during the 1800's mankind underwhent a much more advanced industrial revolution than our own, involveing space travel and planetary coloniseation and it was all thanks to one man who whent missing after trying to discover the power of god him/herself.
you play one of two people, who have ben sent to one of these colonys to collect "colonists", think materia like orbs, and to discover what happened to this lost colony and its connections to the missing doctor.
come on, your intriqued arent you?
graphics wise it was just after the launch titles came out so it looks like an average ps2 game, the locations are at times lame enough to be from castlevania 64, at times breath taking victorian-esque structures, that have long fallen into dissrepair.
the sound is great, the sounds during gameplay are inspireing and quite gallant sounding and fit well with the adventurous frontier nature of the game.
value wise its old now and about 5 quid/bucks and its well worth it.
if you like sega or games like devil may cry then you will adore this little gem thats been overlooked by the gameing community.
this is definatly a buy.
buy it. rent it. love it.
