great story but lacking in versatility.

This is one of those games where you can't WAIT to see what happens in the story but hate going through the actual gameplay.

Sure, I'll admit, it's a good game. The story is very original and flows nicely. The characters are great and the voice acting is done very nicely. There's plenty of little side quests for you to do so even if you finish the main story in a few hours, you can still keep yourself occupied.

But, there's only so long a great story can carry a game. The characters may be great but it would be nice if some of them actually helped in a fight. And the dungeons are just a bit repetitive. Personally, after seeing the same exact dungeon for the 70th time, I began to hate the game. And I really wish they would have done more with the Avatar battles. They're a bit too repetitive and stale. And the mooing crabs are just plain weird.

Don't get me wrong, it's a good game, but I really think they should have worked more on the dungeon and field areas.
