Don't judge a game by a websites' review
Gameplay: A good gameplay. Not the best most exciting system but hey the other RPG's today arent much better. It's a hack and slash game like many other games but gives a positive spin on it. There are multiple skills to choose from classified into 3 weapons. The awakenings keep the battles exciting and they are fun to look at as well. Sound: It may just be because i like japanese music but the music in this volume is just spectacular. The songs perfectly fit to the situation and modify the cutscenes making them even better. Graphics: Hey they're not the best graphics in the world but they are fine in this game. The cutscenes are great with enhanced graphics for these to enhance the drama. Very well done.
Story: This is my favorite aspect of the .hack franchise. The Storyline is perfect. I become frustrated finding a game that actually has a good story. The past few years no video game i have found stands next to .hack's story. The characters are VERY well developed and while playing you feel the emotions of the players. In conclusion either Gamespot reviewers are blind or they played the first few minutes of the game and said this is exactly the same as volume 1. This is the best game i've played so far this year.
