Before playing this, I highly suggest, either buying or renting the first volume so you know what's going on...Though there is a brief summary in the very beginning, it isn't really great...
The story continues directly after the first. The second volume provides a deep story, much deeper than the first...
The soundtrack has also been upgraded. The opening is done nicely. One word to describe the music is "epic." It ranges from instrumentals, to operatic, and rock themes...
The gamesplay also has some new features. Even with those though, it still feels repetitve after a while. Battles are more numerous, and dungeons are longer...
(Hint: You can easily run through enemies by using "Smokescreen" OUTSIDE of battle...)
Other things they've added were Crimson VS card game and Steambike racing...you can customize your bike! This adds some fun and is pretty good...
Sadly the game IS still short...around 15-25 hours. If you do all the sidequests it will last up to over 40 hours...
Overall another great game, but it requires playing the first volume in order to gain the full experience...
