One of the best,totally underrated RPG's of all time.
. Hack is one of the all time best RPG's to date. Although there are some flaws, the gameplay, storyline, characters and items negate that.
Gameplay-
The gameplay is a real-time RPG(like Knights of the Old Republic), so if you loved that, you shoud love this. The missions all consist of going to the Chaos Gate, which is sort of like a portal, and putting in keywords that you are either given from characters, e-mails(in the game), or on the message board. Although the game is not online compatible, it plays like an MMORPG. There are other characters that you can interact with in the game, mostly just for trading, though. One of the cool features of the game that I liked, is that you can type in random keywords, and you will warp to a differen tarea every single time, giving you the ability to walk away from the main storyline in order to train or level up your character, or even just give you a fun distraction when you're bored.
Graphics-
Nothing special here except that the character models look very nice and detailed.
Sound-
Beautiful sounds that are seamlessly blended together to create a very emotional experience.........................for the first hour. Once you play the game a while, the tunes get VERY repetitive. But I still like 'em.
Value-
DON't get into this series if:
1) You HAVE to buy ALL the games in the series(their are 4!!)
2) You're broke(you HAVE to buy the guides or you'll be lost in the dungeons forever)
Overral-
I love thhis series, and it is one of my most favorite games to play. If you like RPG's I would HIGHLY suggest buying this game and it's sequels.
