Although its not an actual MMORPG, it makes you feel like you are playing one.

.hack//INFECTION is the first of a four part series from Bandai. As many anime fans will know, the anime was based closely to this. The game follows the adventures of Kite. He bears a stricking resemblance to Tsakasa from the anime. In the game, you encounter many other player from "around the world" and go on quests. Although, its not an actual MMORPG, it makes you feel like your really playing one. The graphics are quite good and the cutscene animations match up with the in-game graphics. The gameplay is sometimes boring, but tends to keep a constant focus. The voice-over work is sub-par, but still bearable. Overall, INFECTION is a great start to a series with great potential. Unfortunatly, the series didn't make a big enough impact as was hoped. Regardless, INFECTION is a great game for any RPG fan and anime fans alike. Not to mention the bonus DVD is a great companion to the game.
