In a great port to the Xbox, Valve has proved to the gaming world that the big-black box still has plenty of life left in it's core.

Half Life 2 in general is a huge quantum leap in terms of the FPS genre. This is no Halo rip-off or run and gun shooter folks, so don't expect anything of that nature relating.

You start the game arriving at City 17, and are introduced to the combine, and from there meet up with many of the game's unique characters and set off on an unfolding quest in many richly-detailed environments. There are many weapons in the game, and all serve a diff. purpose of course, but it isn't until you receive the gravity gun that you start having tremendous fun with the game's physic engine, which in itself, warrants replay-value.

The story I won't reveal, but let's just say that you'll be on your toes for most of the game wanting the ever so distant answer.

The game sounds great, everything from the moans of zombies in Ravenholm, and the explosion of grenades and rocket-launchers, just feels tremendous, and has a great effect on thee.
