Half-Life 2 is all i should have to say. The very name should have you all falling to your feet crying over the fact that your reading this and not playing it at this point....Well what are you waiting Mr P one for go forth and play Half-Life 2 and do not stop untill you have completed it...go on i am not going to complete this review untill you do.......

(Four days six hours and 27 minutes later)

Well it is good to see that your back...Dear lord man take a nice sit down it looks like you have been gaming for days. But i can tell by the look on your face that you have had a blast of a time. Now rest your head while i talk about the game you have just played.

In the game you played the role of Gordon Freeman he is a scientist that use to work at the Black Mesa Research Facility. Things went wrong as they do but good old Freeman (you) saved the day....But things do not stay saved as you are gone the earth is overrun and a man known only as G-man sets you back into the world after the fact.

In alot of ways Half-Life 2 is its own game you do not need to have played the first one and its many expansion packs to get what is going on as Half-Life 2 does a very good job of filling in the backstory and gaps that you may well have. Having said that it does not hurt to play the first game....

Hey wake up..yes you Mr P one the same Mr P one who played Half-Life 2 for Four days six hours and 27 minutes i have a new job for you go off and find Half-Life (yes the first one) and play that one and keep playing untill you have completed it.... What do you mean you want a pay rise....Ok ok fine you got it but only this once as you did a fine job before...

Now that he is away playing the first one i will cover more ground about Half-Life 2. I will try not to spoil the story for those who have either not played this or the first one. Heck i am not even going to cover the story arc as that would be abit unfair...Half-Life 2 Is a FPS game that mixes gunplay and some vehicle action as well as a nice selection of puzzle type sections that you have to think/shoot/drive your way around. Its differant to many FPS games as running and gunning will only get you say far. Plus there is also the fact of one very very fun gun that well have you trying out differant things thant many FPS games do not even think about....

At this point i would have been called back Mr P one but it seems he is not feeling to good after nearly a week and a half of none stop gaming...(lets just say Half-Life and its expansions set a very good bar)...Anyway back to the gun...Which gun am i talking about well many of you who have already played it will know what i am talking about and the ones who have not should also have a good idea as well. I mean it is as well known as the game it stars in...Heck its brother gun has its own game based around it...That gun is the Zero-Point Energy Field Manipulator, or the gravity gun.

The gravity gun lets you pick up objects in the world and use them as weapons to kill your enemys. It is also handy for picking up stuff that is out of reach or useing objects as a makeshift sheild. The main reason for why the gravity gun works so well in this game is game's physics engine. For example, one puzzle requires the player to either turn a seesaw-like lever into a ramp by placing cinder blocks at one end, or to stack wooden crates to form a crude stairway.

Half-Life 2 came out on November 16, 2004 and it came out for the Microsoft Windows, Xbox, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Mac OS X. The system requirements are 1.2 GHz processor, 256 MB RAM, DirectX 7 level graphics card.

So what are you all waiting for go out and look for this game...heck these days you do not even have to do that as the makers of this game came up with a idea called steam. Yes its not perfect and at first i did not like it that much but it is handy for finding and buying games.
