I started and finished with HL2 never got through 1. Explains why I don't understand the ending. But as far as the experience during the game, it made me want to upgrade my computer to turn all the settings on high. I didnt pay much attention to the story not because it wasnt interseting, I dont know maybe I play through it again starting with HL1. What I like most that I wish more companies did was the fact the game could play on a midrange system(2.0ghz,512mb ram,128mb Agp video card)on low-mid level settings but at least you get to play a top shelf game.All in all if you havent played it by now you wont be dissappointed if you get the collectors edition.
