I never played the PC VERSION. Boy, am I lucky. Trash it all you want PC FAN BOYS, "Half Life 2" is a great experience.

Remember what you loved about the "Original" HALO. The Music, the Story Twists, the NON-STOP ACTION.

Remember what BUNGIE said was their secret? (Make an exciting 2 minute game, and just keep making another 2 minutes)

All of this applies to HALF LIFE 2. This game gets really intense, and the thing I enjoyed the most was that NPC's didn't give you "Clues" on how to FINISH A LEVEL, or SOLVE A PROBLEM. You'd just be sitting there thinking about a PUZZLE or a PROBLEM, and all of a sudden Common Sense and a little creative thinking would kick in.

While not a "HALO" Story, HALF LIFE 2 is a good one none-the less.
The Graphics are Top Notch with incredible explosions and huge environments. The music is fine, and not intrusive.

My Only gripes are the LOAD TIMES FOR LEVELS. Not bad if you're going forward, but if you accidentally BACK UP to avoid a bad guy, IT LOADS AGAIN.

ALSO: Your NPC "Team Mates" (This happens later) refuse to stay put while you're working on a level. .....so they'll just keep marching out into a SLAUGHTER, even though you've told them a hundred times NOT TO MOVE.

Overall: This was a great experience, and it's couldn't have come at a better time. (While I'm waiting for my XBOX 360)
