Character modeling and the action makes this game look realistic.

User Rating: 8.4 | Half-Life 2 XBOX
Half - Life 2 is a FPS shooter from Valve where the story explains about headcrabs, combines, and aliens. The story of the start continues of where you left off in Half Life 1 where you are sent off into a mission by The Man. Continuing from this perspective you start in a train sooner or later the combines takes over and hell breaks loose for some reason. At the start you will meet some new friendly faces such as Alyx where you have a very top secret relationship with her.

The presentation can get a little quirky since you dont know what the heck happened unless you play Half Life 1. Of course this game is a translation from the PC into the X - Box. The world of Half - Life 2 perfectly translates it from the PC version but of course there is some buggy glitches and a little too many loading times. It kinda cuts the action short with these glitches and loading times because it feels like the action is all left out from the PC version. But of course the loading times are worth the wait of what oyu are going to face next.

The guns look very detailed and this is no mindless shooter becasue you may have to conserve alot of ammo and go tactical on some areas in the game. Each weapon has a unique purpose for its use but as you progress in the game mostly all you do is puzzles and alot of platforming. The platforming and puzzle solving makes this game alot of fun because you will get this weapon called the gravity gun, The gravity gun is going to be used in mostly in every part of the game to move objects or create bridges to cross your way.

Even though there is alot of platforming there is some exciting intense shooting thorought the game where combines and zombies attack. You may have to use your sorroundings to kill these enemies much easier. So sooner or later this game is all about gravity and platforming and also puzzle solving. So it only has the FPS elements at some minimum parts.

But the only thing that will amaze you and definitely surprise you is the the digital actors. The modeling and the textures of the characters are excellent they all have different feelings and different personalities. But of course the only character you are going to like throught the game is Alyx she is tough and not afraid of anything. You have this some sort of cummunication with her that it feels that you are actually talking to someone.

The graphics in the game looks beautiful also the model textures on the wall and buildings. Even though the graphics on the PC looks solid the X - Box still offers a good performance. The lighting is also impressive that it makes you want to AWE a whole bunch of times.

Now hitting it with the gameplay is really good when the intense moments come though there and really show it off. There is a problem in the game where Gordon Freeman will get stuck alot in corners and little areas, the PC version has never had that problem ever before so it is a really frustrating problem once so again.

A glitch you may notice during the gameplay is the combine troops that sometimes when youre far and far far away they still manage to shoot you even though they arent aiming they always do no matter what. Which is another way you can die really easy.

The Good: Fun puzzle and platforming elements, some very intense shootings, beautiful graphics, nice character models that makes the game come to life.

The Bad: Some very bad buggy glitches, too many loading times, an unstable frame rate, lighting doesnt look as impressive on the PC, and some very frustrating moments of where to go.

The Value: With the buggy glitches but really intersting and fun objectives this game is worth to buy.

Overall: This game is very immersive with puzzle elements and some very intense shootings, but the loading times and glitches cuts the action very unexciting and very boring.
