I respect Hadilem's review of a 2.0 for HL2, but he failed to see what this game has to offer. Either he reviewed on a bad day, or he needs to re-evaluate how to review a title. HL2 is easily a 9+

It's one of those games where you have to play before believing what anybody says about it. Yea sure, it's got a few downs here and there. No game is perfect. The gameplay is a bit linear, some tedious parts in the game, and some annoying loading times. But the ups over rule. Great ambience, fun interactivity, heart-pounding action, smart ai, solid story, and superb graphics obviously won the hearts of many, not just me.
Ravenholm, to me, was one of the best part of the game. Never before have I been scared to play a level in a FPS since DOOM I.
