The storyline is short and sweet, with great gameplay, Halo 2 makes itself a must buy.

Bungie Studios, the company that gave us games like the original Halo, Marathon and the Myth series, releases it's best game, and quite easily one of the greatest games of all time...Halo 2.

Story

The story continues quite a distance from the original Halo. The alien race known as the covanent regroup to the Holy City in the Ninth Age of Reclamation. You play, once again as the Master Chief, part of an old, failed project. You battle to save Earth as the Covanent attack it in order to recover some ancient Forerunner artifact called The Ark, which they must activate in order to use Halo as a super-weapon. The story is so immensive and mysterious that people on the internet actually waste hours of their lives discussing it, but, in reality, the storyline is that good. While the game is quite short and can be beat in around 10 hours, you will find yourself coming back.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Halo has always been amazing, you can melee attack enemies with the butt of your gun, and many other modes. Using a plasma grenade ( or sticky grenade as some like to call it), to stick onto your enemies and vehicles is very fun and addicting. Also just plain old gunning is fun in a different way as well. Halo 2 supports many guns, ranging from Human weapons such as snipers, smgs, and Battle Rifles. It would of been nice, however to have the pistol be as powerful as in Halo 2's predecessor, Halo. The gameplay is so amazing that it's undescribable. As you might of heard, the multiplayer is really where this game gets it good...Xbox Live.

Graphics

The graphics in Halo 2 are amazing, from stellar reflections, to texturing, everything looks amazing, and you won't find any freeze-ups either, very smooth animations.

Sound

The music in the game is breath-taking, as well as the gun noises, and basically everything else. You shouldn't be dissapointed in the sound department.

Overall Halo 2 is simply outstandingm and we can really see where FPS' have gone since the granddaddy of the FPS genre, Doom. You really need to give this a buy, as if you already haven't.
