Halo 2 was bound to get some stick, it was, after all, the sequel to the best console bound FPS ever, and people were going to pick holes. The first thing I heard apon release of the game was "what happened to our over powered pistol!!!" but that soon disappeared, then it was all about the ending "what the? where is the end of the story?!" and then people got into the multiplayer and it was all about the cheats "what the hell? that guy flew across the map!!!" and now we find ourselves here. The cheats have been fixed, the pistol people have realised that the old pistol is now called the "Battle Rifle" but nothing can remove the bitter take of the final moments of the campaign "lets finish this fight" .... in a year or two. The game at the moment, multiplayer wise is great, get a few friends together and you can spend a night doing matchmaking, or custom, or a mix of both. The 4 new maps took a while for people to warm too, and the decision to make 2 of them pay to play means that they don't get touched as much, as people are waiting for the Map Pack. Ahh the map pack, a complicated little creature for sure, but I look forward to the new content, so that will be good. Of course, everyone now knows that they were making Halo 3 at the same time they were making Halo 2 (though I suspect that halo 3 will just be Halo 2 with a different campaign) due to Steve Ballmer and Bill Gate's little slips. I look forward to the the next halo, however it comes, and I know, that people will complain then too.
