Halo 2 is one of the best FPS games every created. It has a great cast of characters, awesome story, excellent graphics, and one of the best assortment of weapons I have ever seen, but it is not perfect, in the campagin part anyway. The campagin is great with you playing on both the human and covenant side, and has a decent story, but it is unusually short for a game of this stature. It also has the annoying ability to get quite old after a while, even on Legendary(eventually ,like a couple years eventually) It is still by all means a GREAT campagin and delivers a perfect fun-factor till the end, even though it doesn't really "end", it just says without words "we're already making a sequel to this classic"
Multiplayer is, well, in itself FLAWLESS! A great assortment of maps which fit the Halo theme perfectly and are made for hours of fast, un-repetative gameplay with your friends or Xbox Live. The Map pack is just the second lay of icing on this gourmet cake. It delivers a large number of different multiplayer games as well as the option to create your own rules, from the time limit to the players' starting weapons.
Halo 2 is, and I say again, one of the BEST FPS games ever created and one of the best games for the Xbox. If you have an Xbox, just get it! Don't waste money on renting it! Just BUY IT AND GET IT IN THE DISK DRIVE! Unless you hate FPS games, of course, and if you do you're in the wrong review.
