Good multiplayer, but quite a dissapointing single player mode.

After all the hype about Halo 2 I think that many fans were let down with it, I have to admit that I was.

Where should we start? I think weapons. Well, the weapons in Halo 2 aren't bad, but the way they took out the assault rifle and toned the pistol down so much, they would not be too bad.

The Battle rifle, is now in place of the A-R or pistol, take your pick and the SMG is mostly in place of the A-R. those are the only let downs as far as weapons go but there are a few highlights to it, like the energy sword, remember those elites who used to pummel your body against the ground in the original? well it's your turn now!

I found myself using the Covenant Carbine through many of the levels that I could use it in. The Beam Rifle was not an awesome additional to Halos' arsnel, still many should use it when the human sniper rifle is not avaible.

The inclision of dual weilding is a nice addationin both modes of play, mostly beacuse you can use the say SMG and plasma rifle at the same time unlike some games where you can only dual weild two of the same weapon.

Boarding is another excellent part of the game, I mean, when an elite comes driving up and you happen to his X as he zips by, the thrill of knocking him out then shooting him with his own guns or slamming on the boost button and killing the bugger is always fun, however many times you do it.

Most of my dissapointment was the campaign, not multiplayer. Though the campaign was nice while it lasted, you find yourself wishing for another level with the Master Chief, showing what happens before he boards the space craft at the climax.

So if you haven't already picked up Halo 2 I suggest that you go out and get a copy soon. it is an experience you should not miss, just dont get too hyped up about it.
