The single player lacks while the online multiplayer is smashing fun.
Great gameplay in the sequel to Combat Evolved. This time there are more vehicles to drive, more epic battles, and duel wielding. The dual wielding definitely gives the game more personality by giving people more options based on preference since the guns are balanced. The multiplayer is so much fun with all the different modes and testing yourself against other players. The story in the second Halo basically ties up loose ends and answers alot of questions and also adding more history than the first Halo. I can't quite explain it, but there is something about the story I just didn't like. The game seemed rushed and it seemed that some key plot points had to be cut to make the campaign shorter.
Graphics:
People say that they are better than the first Halo's, but I have to disagree. Sometimes environments just pop up out of nowhere and the environments just have a fake feel about them, but for the most part they are decent.
Sound:
The electric guitar especially in major battles is just amazing. It completely adds to the intensity of the fighting and the soundtrack is ear candy.
Value:
If you have Xbox Live, you will dedicate your life to this game. The online is addicting and the campaign is put on the backburner, for the thrust of the game seems to be in multiplayer.
Tilt and Final Comments:
Halo 2 is completely satisfying but I just can't help from feeling a slight dissapointed. The story just didn't meet the first Halo's and I disliked playing as the Arbiter. All in all, it was a great game and I can't wait until Halo 3.
