Halo 2 is an online masterpiece with brillant level design, balanced with a wide variety of weapons and vehicles, editible options and great online multiplayer. Bungie continues to add more content making this game more appealing as it is single handlely driving the xbox. Its the best shooter for a console in terms of multiplayer. However, as good as the campaign mode is, it does not live up to its predessor, halo. Halo 2 lacks the story and immersive feel of the first game, which is partially because the player keeps changing roles from the masterchief to the arbiter. One of the best things about the first halo, was its story, soundtrack, and level design, and all of that went into the multiplayer, which is not a bad thing. Bungie has made a flawless multiplayer, but the single player feels rushed, probably by microsoft. All in all a must have game for xbox, and probably the only reason most people buy a xbox. And yes it will probably still be better than perfect dark zero, and i'm not trying to bad talk it either, i am huge fan of perfect dark and eagerly waiting the prequel. In final words, multiplayer dominates console shooters, and even pc shooters ( counter- strike, thats right) but don't listen to people when they say the game is great on all merits, because if your looking for the best campaign mode, your looking at half-life 2.
