Many of the great things about Halo 1, the limited gun arsenal, the fact that every gun seems to have a purpose, and the simple believable physics of said weapons has been altered in Halo 2. Gone are the pistols that proved so useful for Hunter killing and Grunt sniping. Gone are the stun periods from your charged plasma pistol that made elites ripe for a plasma grenade. Instead, this game adds more of everything in Halo 1, and in shooters in general you hated. More flood, less Chief, less game, more guns (some that have little use at all), and of course, the dual weapon weilding that makes dual plasma or needlers all the arsenal anybody ever needs. Even the Grunts aren't as funny this time around, and actually understanding the Elites is less enjoyable than you'd expect. Vehicles, while now more versitile, are simply too strong (in a Ghost, you are nearly invincible), making them much more a boon than a threat. In the end, maybe Halo's greatness is what makes this game seem so disappointing, and maybe Halo 2 deserves more justice, but to me, it just cant seem like anything more than a disappointment.
