Ahhhhh, Halo 2. The most anticipated game for any video game system of all time. Also, the most overhyped game of all time. But, in the end was it all worth it? Was it worth standing in the cold on November 4, 2004 at midnight jus to play this FPS. Well if you ask me I would say yes and no. OK, first the yes. When I got my collector's edition of Halo 2, I was with a buddy and we went back to his house to play. I worked at the local EB games, and i had to work the next morning. But I didn't care. All I wanted to do was play the greatest CONSOLE FPS of all time. So my buddy and I started the campaign at around 12:30 on heroic difficulty. When I finally collapsed from exhaustion at 8 AM. We were at the second to last level. Yes I was dissipointed we were already there, but that was the most intense fun I ever experienced with a FPS. And, of course the online multiplayer is absolutely amazing. The matchmaking that Bungie set up for Halo 2 is perfect, almost. My problems with online multiplayer is playing with jerks and cheaters, especially when hardly nothing is done about them. My other two problems with Halo 2 are in the single/co-op scenario. The graphics were nice, but occasionally there would be lag spikes and places of the environment that would load while you waited. And the other problem was the ending. Come on Bungie! A cliffhanger ending is fine, but at least finish the story right, not with a lame saying from old action movies. Anyways, if you like FPS's and you have an X-Box and you haven't played this, then please play it. Halo 2 is truly one of the best.
