This has got to be the best FPS out today...
Halo 2 is, simply put, fantastic. Ever since I had my first glimpse of the game, I knew I wasn't going to be disappointed if I bought it. Fast forward 1 year later - Halo 2 becomes the only game to sit in my XBOX for over 3 months. It lives up to all the hype, and in places, overshadows it...
The campaign gameplay is relatively good, but does disappoint a little. It is too short, and lacks the level of excitement that I normally expect in an FPS. The ending especially disappointed me. Nevertheless, I still love playing through levels that I have already finished 10 times. If you still don't find it a challenge, play it through on Legendary! The multiplayer modes though, is what makes this game a hit. If playing a crazy game of King of the Hill on Lockout with a few friends isn't enough, take it to XBOX Live. You'll spend so many hours on Halo 2 alone. Combine that with the nine extra multiplayer maps, and you have the ultimate shooter.
The graphical quality is superb. Just a few minor flaws here and there, but it is simply a "beautiful" game. The audio is also near-perfect for this game.
In terms of longevity, this game isn't very long, with 10 levels, each lasting an average of one hour, depending on what difficulty you are playing on.
On a final note, if you have an XBOX, and don't have Halo 2, go out to your nearest electronics store and grab a copy now!
