Ok, I went into my local EB intending to put some more money down on my BFME preorder, and there was this huge line up of people, probably waiting to pick up their copys of Halo 2. So Im just wondering around the store, and I notice on one of the game stations that Halo was up. I thought to pass some time by playing the library. To my surprise however, it was Halo 2! There wasnt anyone playing it, so I just jumped right in. You start off Halo 2 with a soldier imforming you of youre new equipment. Throughout the opening, there is also Convenant cutseens, which are awesome. I think this leads up to how you yourself play as an elite, but I unfortunatly didnt get that far. Anyway, as you and a certain person(I wouldnt want to ruin it for people) start off through this battle station, the invasion begins. You can start off by dual weilding two 2 SMGs or a battle rifle. I choose the later. There is NOTHING like pwning 3 or 4 elites with the Battle rifles high short burst fire rate, its just pure fun. Now dont get me wrong, dual weilding is fun, but I think its intended for more intense close combat firefights, which whenever I got into a couple of those it was pretty intense. Never has a game gotten me so emotionally charged while played. Im still short of breat(sp?) Theres no way to diss Halo 2. The controls are a little more sensitive in my opinion, but thats better since in some fights you need to be really quick. The graphics have been revamped, so the firefights are amazing. The Weapons all have different looks, or "upgraded" looks. The enemys are all detailed, killing grunts with the rifle and seeing blood spray out from neck or headshots is extremly pleasing. Now Im not some crazy wacko kid who just likes killing things In fact, Halo was the only shooter I ever really got into. Basically, you have to play this game. Its too good to not play, even for 10 minutes. Hell itd be possible to do that, since you get so immersed and anticipate the greatness of what this game is. I cant wait to buy a Xbox and this game so I can play it at home. This review is done
