Every game has the potential to be perfect and if any game had that going for them, this one surely came close. Remember, everyone has their opinion about how they felt about the game so play the game for yourself and make your own decision. With that said, I absolutely love the game. I was #1 in line to get the game at my Gamestop and in my opinion, it was well worth the wait. If you played the original, you know the story line and if you read the novels (which I highly recommend if you're a die-hard fan) then you know that a story drives the game, with a little bit of butt kicking put into the mix by Master Chief. The gameplay and the graphics didn't destroy the campaign's story, the shear abrupt ending of it all did! The biggest cliff hanger in the history of all cliff hangers hit me like a tidal wave. I especially didn't like playing as the covanant for multiple missions, but Bungie wanted it that way I guess. If you have xbox live, this is the mother of all games for FPS fans of the genre. Not many people can pull off the "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" stunt but Bungie doesn't dissapoint in this field. It has it all: messages, voice recordings, clans, custom characters, logos, party rooms, and endless game types.......did I mention clans! I know that I exhausted my copy of the original Halo of it's multiplayer experience and I didn't even have Live! There will nerver be an empty room to play in and it's just good clean fun all around. Easily the highest portion of this game is it's replay value, heck..........Halo defined replay value!! I love the game but that's my opinion. If you don't like it, THEN DON'T PLAY IT!!!! Just stop discouraging people from playing the game because YOU don't feel it was "worth" it. Heck, probably the people that couldn't stand Halo2 probably suck at the game anyways.
