Halo 2 is a great game, but it is a little shy of the super game many people were expecting.

Note: For my reviews, 5 is average I remember my friend was completely obsessed with this game. All that mattered was finding information on it. I remember hearing, "You'll get energy swords, and fuel rod cannons, and jackal shields!" and "You can drive transports! and there are human flying vehicles! And there are different types of grenades!" That was all true, bungie had installed all of that, and more. But somewhere, sometime, they simply decided to dump 60% of it. Alot of the stuff they dumped was probably for the better, but still, you just shouldn't announce stuff when you don't think you're gonna keep it. Halo's biggest problem, the mediocre levels, is definetely solved here. I have played every single multiplayer and single player level and it is hard to find one that I don't enjoy. The other problem, some weapons being way too cheap and easy to find, (you know I'm talking about rocket launcher) is solved too. There are still cheap weapons, but it isn't like Halo where whoever has the launcher automatically wins. In fact, now there are a group of cheap weapons. Energy sword, Rocket launcher, Fuel rod cannon, Brute plasma rifle, and brute shot. So the game doesn't just revolve around one weapon. And, now the cheap weapons are much harder to find, probably because the levels, on average, are so much bigger. But also because now they really are hard to find. Enough compliments, now it's time for my main complaint, the game's graphics. You must think I'm crazy. After all, the game is shiny! It's very true that the game is shiny. But the shine seems to disappear and reappear when you walk forward and backward. My point is that the amount of detail reappearing and disappearing as you get farther and closer is painfully obvious. From far away, a rock will look like a computer designed polygon, details won't begin to appear until you get far too close. The game's cinematics are even worse, it will take over three seconds for the details too appear when the scene simply changes! Some scenes won't even manage to completely appear before they end! This of course, makes the game look glitchy and unfinished. But what do graphics matter in the long run when I am itching to play this game right now?
