A satisfying, succinct summary of the Halo series so far, with just enough spark to make it shine.

Let's face it, ODST never had much of a chance against the sharks. It's comforting to know that those that DID actually bother to play the game know how good it is, and stand up for it. Firefight is reasonable fun, and is great to play if you have friends to do so with. It's certainly worth it, as Tom McShea said, if you haven't bought all (or even just one) of the Halo 3 map packs, as you need them for a number of the Halo 3 playlists.

The brightest point of ODST is certainly the campaign. You just about get to do everything you want to in a Halo game, and every sequence is fun and varied. The story isn't brilliant, but it stands up on its own and is still pretty interesting.

Halo fans shouldn't miss out on ODST. It's got some interesting new twists on the basic tried and true Halo formula, but it always feels like Halo. Give this game a chance; you will not be disappointed.
