No Master Chief this time? Who is gonna fill in the boots? The Orbital Drop Shock Troopers will.

User Rating: 8.5 | Halo 3: ODST X360
So, we all know Master Chief is currently drifting along in the unknown regions of the galaxy, probably as we speak, but how about we take a time travel back to the year 2552 where we follow a squad of ODST troopers as they fight their way through an African city called New Mombasa. So far, the story seems well written, and it's sorta a major transition from being a Spartan, a super augmented soldier, to being a weak armored, non augmented, non Spartan, ODST soldier. The bleak, dark atmosphere surrounding the city is a new thing because veteran Halo players are used to seeing light everywhere. As you progress on, you meet new characters that assist you on your journey to liberate New Mombasa from Covenant forces. The soundtrack is extravagant. Mixing the tension of the climax, and the sad tension of the start makes all the difference. The cons is the length of the game. You'll zip right through it in almost 2-5 hours, mostly you'd consider it should have been DLC, but the replay value makes up for it.

Final Score: 8.7/10
