Halo 3: ODST adds great expansion to the Halo story and franchise with a questionable $60 price tag.

Let's get to the point. Halo 3: ODST is not worth $60. Why? Mainly because it takes about 6 hours to beat it with breaks, so without them It would probably take 4 or 5. Playing as ODST is pretty cool, the SMG and the pistol definitely make it worthwhile although you will definitely miss the battle rifle often. Getting recon for Halo 3 is definitely a bonus but you'll be getting bored of it pretty quick once you see a lot of people with it. Firefight mode is pretty interesting and getting the Endure achievement is fun, until you lag out of the game several times where fun ends and getting the achievements becomes more of a hassle. The added bonus to the game though, is the multiplayer disk which many are playing for months on end. The disk came with 3 new maps, Citadel, Longshore, and Heretic. While the maps are great, you probably end up playing Heretic the most, as the only reasons you would want to play the other maps are achievements. All in all, ODST is a great game to have in your collection, even though you will probably never play the campaign disk after you get all the achievements on it and played the beta.
