ODST, regardless of its over-pricing, is a huge disappointment.
ODST starts by giving you very poor - if any - character development. You're immediately thrown into action playing as a character you don't care about trying to save other characters that you have no care for.
You're thrown into New Mombosa and judging by what I saw I think I prefer the Old Mombosa (if there is one). New Mombosa is dark, boring, and neon-lit like a cheap version of Las Vegas. What happened to the in-your-face color and big environments of Halo 3? Is ODST an expansion or a compaction?
The guns are the same and boring. Most of the can't be held up with an aim button like every current gen shooter has. The eerily accurate pistol is back but its only fun for dispatching the little guys. Expect nothing to blow your mind in the form of new weapons.
The campaign is short, uninteresting, underdeveloped, uncared for by you, and an extreme disappointment.
Firefight is a take on Call of Duty's Zombie mode but comes no where close to being as intense or even as playable. Also a word of warning: FIREFIGHT DOES NOT HAVE MATCHMAKING!! You better have friends on your friend's list ready to play because unlike COD's Zombie mode, you can't be matched with other players waiting to play.
6/10: ODST has bad graphics, bad sound, bad gameplay, no character development, a short campaign and isn't as good as some games that are more than 10 years old. Like everyone else I'm relieved Halo has continued past the original planned trilogy but see no way it will continue on much further if it continues down this path.
