Halo 3 is awesome, and way much better that Halo 2 in my opinion, but hte Halo 1 campain is unbeatable. This game is sweet, with any number of people playing. It's an awesome party game. The multiplayer is spectacular. The gameplay is freakin sweet. I'll tell you how my experience was. When I first started the campain it starts exactly where Halo 2 leaves off. BUT... the beginning was kind of confusing, because all of a sudden everyone is on earth. I was hoping for prologue about Master Chief or a flashback on Halo 1. Nope, it just sticks right to the story. When the first mission started, I was amazed, and I mean AMAZED with the graphics, with the lighting and all the trees everywhare. I don't know why gamespot didn't give credit to that. Don't worry, I won't talk about every level. There are ten missions, but they are pretty long, so it's OK. The first half of the game takes place on Earth. Then the story takes you to off earth. The last four missions are comepletely awesome. One mission, called the covenent, resembles The Silent Cotographer, from Halo 1, which is my favorite misson of Halo 3. Now, there's two things that i'm sure you'll be wondering when playing through the game. 1) Are there any Elites to kill? In Halo 3, all the elites are good and fight on your side like the marines (yes, I was pissed off just as well). There is no heretic anymore, I don't think. There are some level's thought where there are normal looking elites fighting with you, and when you kill some they'll turn against you, and let me tell you it feels so fresh and familar, especially after all those brutes. Remember when just one brute would startle you in Halo 2? Well in Halo 3, brutes get pretty recgonizable. But there are still plenty of grunts and jackels to fend off. that's number 1. Question 2) Where the hell is Halo? Yes, you will wonder where the actual ring is in the game. But let me tell you, It takes a huge and important part in the end of Halo 3. Well, on the last half of the game, you're on a forrunner structure, which i will not name, that you could count as the mother of Halos. That makes it pretty satisfying. But those are just flaws. The game is still one of my favorites, and will always be. It has a very satisfying ending, and everything from the first two games makis their way into the last of the series. Eventhough i mostly talked about the flaws, in the end it's all good. Those are just minor and matter to the hardcore fans, and will only keep you up all night thinking about it. And yes, they don't need to make a Halo 4. It's over. Especially after what happens in the last mission, it just wuoldn't be right. And ESPECIALLY what happens after the credits. I mean the normal 'after credits' ending. Wow I wrote a lot. So have fun finishing the fight, if you haven't already.
