Close but no cigar. Halo 3 didn't even try to change the fighting mechanics.

Halo 3 is end of the halo trilogy, it was the ground breaking nerve tingling end of the halo series

Gameplay: Nothing changed at all in my opinion just a couple of weapon tweaks along with a "improved" melee system which didn't improve at all. Halo is great for the first couple of weeks until you see a constant pattern in what you do, R trigger, maybe throw a grenade, and b button. While in other games such as gears of war there's much variety in what you do. Another colossal issue is that there's no cover system what so ever this was the same in halo 1 and 2 but halo 3 was more then welcome for a good fighting mechanic change but that obviously didn't happen. Bungie says that halo has a "advanced" style of fighting but i see halo's fighting system no better then a first gen shooter all you do is aim shoot and melee, even my old nintendo 64 game army men sarges hero has a better cover shoot system then halo. Not to mention i find it absolutely absurd that you can run up to someone melee them and you can both die at the same WHAT THE HELL is that. Gameplay: 5/10

Graphics: The halo 3 graphics a awesome but did not hold up long and looked pitiful compared to CoD4 graphics and even a early xbox title gears of war. I am also aware that halo had to design there own alien looking environments so i don't blame them. Graphics: 8/10

Sound: Halo 3 sound is extraordinary, you at times just sit and listen to the nice natural sounds around you. The sounds of guns in Halo 3 are sort of off, same goes with explosions from rocket launcher and grenades. Sound: 8/10

Value, tilt: Like all halo games it held it's releasing price of $60 until a new advancement in the series came out, but halo is easily worth the $60 and should get picked up by any map editor online 4 player co op, or just a person who loves the no cover but the idiotic run out and shoot style of halo. Value: 9/10
